Peter Bunzl creció en el sur de Londres en una casa victoriana con tres gatos, dos perros, una hermana, un padre que trabajaba en un anticuario y una madre artista. Es animador, además de escritor y cineasta. Al igual que Lily y Robert, de su debut de la novela Cogheart, le encantan las aventuras y leer novelas, pero lo que más desearía sería tener un zorro mecánico llamado Malkin.
